Mint Julep
Bourbon Whiskey
As a bourbon-based cocktail, it is associated with the American South and the cuisine of the Southern United States in general, and the Kentucky Derby in particular.
Ingredients
- 2 oz bourbon
- 8-10 mint leaves
- .25 oz simple syrup
Instructions
Muddle the mint leaves and simple syrup in a mint julep cup. Add bourbon and fill with with crushed ice. Stir until the cup is frosted. Fill with more crushed ice. Serve with a straw and a mint sprig garnish.
